Fifteen years ago, VI Technology was founded by two University of Texas at Austin
graduates working out of an apartment in north Austin. The company’s initial focus
was developing instrument drivers for LabVIEW, but they quickly grew beyond driver
development to offering comprehensive automated test system software development
services.
By the end of 1990, VI Technology had expanded their services portfolio to provide
turn-key systems integration, successfully designing and integrating the hardware
portions of automated systems along with the software. VI Technology also extended
its geographical reach in the 90s throughout the US, with headquarters in Austin,
TX and local engineering and sales offices in Dallas, TX and San Jose, CA. By the
turn of the century, VI Technology had grown to the point that they were able to
offer comprehensive solutions and services enabling their customers to focus on
their core competency designing and manufacturing products, and outsource their
automated test system development to VI Technology. VI Technology developed a proven
track record of providing companies with test systems that met their requirements
at a lower cost, with a more maintainable architecture, in less time than companies
could do themselves.

In the late 90s, VI Technology saw a recurring need for better test data management
tools and leveraged its experience in automated test to fill this gap by introducing
the first affordable, off-the-shelf enterprise test data management software for
design and manufacturing. With the combination of professional services and enterprise
test solutions, VI Technology is the only company directly focused on the growing
demand for enterprise test, which gives companies the ability to capture, organize,
and access all their test data throughout their enterprise turning raw data into
valuable information. Enterprise test data management solutions implemented by VI
Technology provide companies with immediate access to information they need to make

and quality.
Today, VI Technology has won multiple product awards with its Arendar software,
is a Microsoft gold certified partner, a National Instruments certified alliance
