VI Technology is excited to have been selected by National Instruments to build the IC Characterization System demo for the National Instruments Mobile Expo Tour. VI Technology was chosen based on its extensive experience in delivering high quality turn-key automated test systems in the semiconductor industry.

The IC Characterization demo integrates Virginia Panel Corporation’s S6 interface, with platform to support DUTs, to easily connect different kind of DUTs. The low profile S6 is modular and configurable, enabling a variety of I/O options. The IC Characterization System demo is based on a full-featured system delivered to a global leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded semiconductors for the automotive, consumer, industrial, networking, and wireless markets.

The full-featured system includes features such as:

Reusable Test Framework

Engineers can use the test station for IC characterization, design validation, compliance, and product testing
Reuse and share instrument configurations using commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) instruments via GPIB, USB, or Ethernet

Automated Test Procedures

Automates test and characterization procedures reducing manual test time
Provides a consistent and intuitive user interface enabling easy system configuration
Based on National Instruments PXI and traditional instrumentation
