Stress Test Characterization System for High Precision Military Oscillators This solution describes an automated functional test system to characterize high precision oscillators over extreme temperature conditions. The system integrates RF instrumentation, DAQ boards, multiplexers, temperature chambers, and Microsoft VisualBasic to automate the tests and produces pass/fail and characterization reports for engineering and manufacturing. Automating Sample Preparation for DNA Sequencing This solution describes an automated system for preparing samples for DNA sequencing. The system integrates various types of laboratory equipment including a centrifuge, thermo-cycler, wash station, robotics, and a refrigerated storage unit. The system software uses XML as the communication protocol between the different instrumentation software controlling each instrument. PVD Semiconductor Process Chamber Functional Testing This solution describes a PC-based system that performs automated functional testing for a family of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) semiconductor process chambers. The functional test system operates in a clean room facility and uses PC-based data acquisition cards and various DeviceNet I/O modules to perform the tests. SCADA System for Monitoring Motor Production This solution describes a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system to monitor motor production using Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc PLCs, a fiber optic network, Microsoft VisualBasic, and a centralized Oracle database.
